Catarina Monteiro Pires joined the firm in 2004. She focuses her activity on domestic and international arbitrations.
She also acts as counsel in several lawsuits, representing national and international clients of different economic sectors.
Catarina was a corporate lawyer for ten years, before joining the arbitration and litigation team.
During this period, she gained significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, international strategic partnerships, infrastructure agreements, distribution agreements and other commercial agreements, as well as in corporate law.
She has also experience in banking and capital markets.
In 2009, she was seconded to the German law firm Hengeler Mueller.
She has also been engaged in academic field since graduation.
From 2008 till now, she teaches Private Law at the University of Lisbon Law School (Law of Obligations, Contract Law, Corporate and Commercial Law), both graduation and post-graduation studies.
She was also a teacher at the Law Faculty of the University of Coimbra.
Author of several articles and monographies in the fields of Law of Obligations, Contract Law, Corporate and Commercial.
Catarina also coordinates and participates in conferences and seminars on a regular basis.
