Catarina Monteiro Pires

Catarina Monteiro Pires joined the firm in 2004. She is a member of the corporate and commercial team.

Having previous experience in international acquisitions, corporate reforms and banking law, over the past three years she has been focusing her activity in the areas of acquisitions, strategic partnerships and projects within gas and electricity markets. She is also very active in all matters related with drafting and negotiating gas sale and transportation agreements and different agreements related with the implementation of energy production projects (wind farms, biomass and, especially hydropower generation and combined cycle production). Ms. Monteiro Pires also provides ongoing legal advice in the area of energy regulation.

Catarina Monteiro Pires lectures at Law Faculty of the University of Lisbon (Civil Law).

Ms. Monteiro Pires is a former Assistant Professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Coimbra from 2001 to 2003.

She has participated in several conferences addressing banking and commercial law topics.
