Eduardo Maia Cadete joined the firm in 2001. He is a member of the european law and competition team.
His experience includes advising and representing clients (both defendants and plaintiffs), before the Portuguese Competition Authority and the European Commission, as well as before the General Court of the European Union, the Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights.
His practice focuses on restrictive practices, merger control, state aid and sectoral inquiries providing legal advice and representing companies active in the areas of financial services, media, pharmaceuticals and consumer product, among others.
Mr. Maia Cadete is the President of the Alumni Association of European Studies of the Portuguese Catholic University.
Author of articles published in the following magazines: International European Law Tax Review, International Law Office, Portuguese Bar Association and Portuguese Bank Association quarterly magazines and The Private Competition Enforcement Review.
Winner of the Jacques Delors 2004 Award, sponsored by the Portuguese Central Bank and by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, with the thesis Competition and Services of General Economic Interest.
