Filipe Vaz Pinto joined the firm in 2002. He is a member of the litigation and arbitration team, working essentially in arbitration proceedings and related litigation.
He has acted as counsel in domestic and international arbitrations either ad hoc or under major institutional rules, in a variety of industry sectors, including aviation, banking, construction, defense, energy, food and beverage, infrastructures, insurance, media and advertising, mining, public-private partnerships, transfers of technology and trusts.
He has also acted as administrative secretary to Arbitral Tribunals.
Currently, Mr. Vaz Pinto is a member of the board of the Commercial Arbitration Center of the Lisbon Commercial Association / Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Centro de Arbitragem Comercial da Associação Comercial de Lisboa / Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Portuguesa).
He regularly participates as lecturer in post-graduation courses on arbitration offered by the Law Faculty of the Nova University of Lisbon and he participates as speaker in seminars and conferences.
