Nuno de Oliveira Garcia joined the firm in 2001. He is a member of the tax team.
Mr. de Oliveira Garcia has been very active in tax litigation, representing international and domestic corporations in major cases involving corporate income taxation, tax benefits, regulatory charges and local taxes. In addition, he provides tax advice in specific areas such as regulatory charges and special duties, tax audits, executive and employee share plans.
He has also been active in advising on both domestic and international tax matters to multinational corporations, as well as some of the major Portuguese corporations and financial institutions, covering a wide range of tax and corporate issues, together with advice and legal opinions on all sort of transactions.
Nuno de Oliveira Garcia is a Lecturer at the University of Lisbon Law School in the areas of economics and tax law and a Chairman of the Discipline Board of the Judo Lisbon Association.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Public Finance and Taw Law Review of the University of Lisbon Law School and a regular contributor to the magazine Tax Notes International.
