Mariana de Sousa Alvim joined the firm in 2006. She is a member of the european law and competition team.
Her experience includes advising and representing companies, as well as the Portuguese government, particularly in the areas of internal market and fundamental freedoms (mainly in the areas of free movement of services and capital), both with the European Commission, and in cases presented before the European Courts.
Ms. de Sousa Alvim also advises and represents clients in competition cases before the Portuguese Competition Authority,the European Commission, and Portuguese and European Courts, notably in relation to vertical and horizontal agreements and merger control.
