José Maria Montenegro joined the firm in 2005. He is a member of the tax team.
Mr. Montenegro has been very active in a wide variety of tax matters, namely in tax litigation, and also in advising both national and multinational corporations, covering a wide range of subjects related to double taxation treaties, VAT and corporate income tax.
Before joining the firm, he worked with a multinational consultant company and a national law firm in the tax area.
Between 2003 and 2004 José Maria Montenegro served as the Legal Counsellor to the XV Portuguese Government Minister of Justice.
