Catarina Brito Ferreira joined the firm in 2003. She is a member of the corporate and commercial and capital markets team. She is a lawyer with experience in corporate and commercial law, energy law, as well as in securities law.
In the area of corporate and commercial law she has acted as legal advisor in several mergers, acquisitions and disposals of companies, including among others, the acquisition and disposal of companies with head offices in Portugal, Spain and Angola, on behalf of domestic and foreign clients, in various sectors, such as construction, information technologies and communications and energy.
Most of her work has in fact been developed in the energy law area, mostly with the largest Portuguese utility company, taking part not only in several M&A and joint venture transactions, but also in public tender bids and specializing in energy law regulation. In this specific business area, Ms. Brito Ferreira has also been involved in several initial public offers.
In the area of securities law, she has, among other projects, acted as a legal advisor in the first stage of the reprivatisation of the national TSO.
Catarina brito Ferreira also provides general legal advice to numerous companies (national and foreign), mainly in the areas of commercial and corporate law.
