Cláudia Castanheira dos Santos joined the firm in 2000. She is a member of the banking and finance team.
She also collaborates with the Africa Team - an internal structure that guarantees, on a permanent basis, and in close cooperation with the member firms of the MLGTS Legal Circle, personalised day-to-day assistance to clients on matters that involve or are related to the jurisdictions of the African Portuguese speaking countries – in which she regularly assists clients in the banking and finance area.
Ms. Castanheira dos Santos has been advising national and international clients on structured finance, real estate finance and project finance with emphasis in the energy sector, as well as in private and public tenders. She participated in the tender offer of an airline company, and also was involved in the new airport of Lisbon project, which gave her a wider knowledge of aviation sector issues. Recently, she has participated in the CCGT project finance in Pego and in the tender offers of the new motorways concessions, having represented both the concessionaire and the financing banks (national and international).
Ms. Castanheira dos Santos also has a wide experience in corporate matters, including merger and acquisitions transactions, restructurings, squeeze-outs, winding-up procedures and also redomiciliation of foreign companies.
