Bruna Ribeiro de Sousa

Bruna Ribeiro de Sousa joined Morais Leitão in 2012. 

She is a member of the criminal, regulatory offences and compliance department of the firm, working in the areas of criminal litigation (mainly in the area of economic-financial crimes, property crimes and crimes against holders of political office) and misdemeanour litigation (with a special focus on the health, telecommunications and media sectors), representing clients in matters of this nature.

She also frequently collaborates in sanctioning proceedings related to competition law, employment law and tax law, and has accumulated significant experience in the area of medical liability. 

In addition, she advises corporate and individual clients in several areas, including compliance matters. 

She is the author of several articles, scientific and non-scientific, on her practice areas, and frequently participates, as invited speaker, in various seminars, conferences and post-graduation courses related to those areas.

She is also a lecturer at the Catholic University Law School, where she has been teaching Criminal Procedure and Criminal Law for several years.
 
Education

Law Degree (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2011). Master’s Degree in Forensics (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2012). Attending the Postgraduate Course in Law and Medicine (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2014).
