Carolina Melo Duarte joined the firm in September 2008. She is a member of the administrative and public procurement and urban planning and environment teams, having previously worked with the real estate and corporate and commercial and capital markets teams.
Carolina has been developing her activity in several areas of administrative law, with particular emphasis on issues of public procurement, energy and environment in procedural matters as well as in administrative litigation and within legal audits. She regularly provides legal advice to public entities and to competitors in the pre-contractual phase (particularly in public procurement) as well as at the stage of execution of contracts.
She was an intern at the European Commission, Directorate-General for Energy, Directorate B, Unit B.3 (Internal Market III: retail markets; coal & oil), having been made part of the Smart Grids Task Force between March and July 2013.
