Diana Ribeiro Duarte joined the firm in 2006. She is a member of the corporate and commercial and capital markets team. She also practices energy law in which she has relevant experience.
Diana has represented a large number of companies in domestic and international transactions.
Diana practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law, particularly she provides legal assistance on acquisitions and sales of shareholdings, mergers, split transactions, restructurings and also advises clients in the establishment and execution of commercial partnerships. She has acted in a wide variety of business sectors, notably energy, information technologies, internet services, research and development and healthcare.
She has been deeply involved in the recent privatisation processes in Portugal.
In the area of capital markets, she has been involved in the structuring of several initial public offers, including the largest initial public offer ever made in Portugal and the largest in Europe in 2008. She has participated in the structuring of public takeovers. She frequently provides legal assistance to listed companies.
Diana regularly acts as legal advisor in the setting up of equity funds and provides day-to-day regulatory advice to several private equity funds.
In addition, a significant part of her work has been dedicated to projects in the energy law area, including providing legal assistance in regulatory and consumers’ rights matters, in particular, in respect of the supply of electricity.
