Francisco de Sousa da Câmara joined the firm in 1986 and became a partner in 1991. 

Francisco represents major corporations and multinationals in tax restructuring operations dealing with different types of taxes, both domestically and in an international context, as well as with family property structures and HNWI.

He has been involved in tax litigation for several decades, with a very impressive experience, where he has acted essentially as a lawyer, but also as an arbitrator with the scope of the Tax Arbitration Centre (CAAD).

Francisco was a member of several Committees of experts in charge of drafting tax legislation.

He was also a Visiting Professor of International Tax Law at Nova University of Lisbon (2000-2013) and has been teaching a postgraduate course on taxation at Universidade Católica Portuguesa for many years.

Author of several articles published on tax subjects, Francisco is also the correspondent in Portugal for the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation, Tax Analysts and the EU Tax Journal.

Law Degree (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 1986). Postgraduate Studies in EU Law (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 1987). Master’s Degree in Tax and Financial Law (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 1992). Specialist Lawyer in Tax, title awarded by the Portuguese Bar Association in 2004.
