Morais Leitão has been shortlisted in two categories at the Benchmark Europe Awards 2026, reinforcing the international recognition of the excellence of its litigation and arbitration practice.
The firm has been shortlisted for National Law Firm of the Year – Portugal, an award that recognises the law firms that have distinguished themselves over the past year through the quality and impact of their work in litigation and arbitration.
Individually, Francisco Cortez has been shortlisted for Litigator of the Year – Portugal, a category that recognises outstanding litigators based on their track record, involvement in high-profile matters, and recognition from clients and peers.
Organised by Benchmark Litigation, the Benchmark Europe Awards annually recognise the leading law firms, litigators and in-house legal teams across the European litigation and arbitration landscape. The shortlist is based on extensive research, including an assessment of the most significant cases from the past year, client feedback and interviews with legal practitioners.
The winners will be announced at the Benchmark Europe Awards 2026 ceremony, which will take place on 24 September in London.
