Ana Carrilho Ribeiro

Ana Carrilho Ribeiro joined Morais Leitão in July 2018. She is a member of the firm’s tax team.

Her practice is focused on tax law on the national and international levels. She regularly advises national and multinational companies in diverse operations, such as on the set-up of investment structures, financing and restructuring transactions, and particularly in issues regarding international double taxation, as well as regarding indirect taxes.

She’s also significantly experienced in the private wealth area, notably advising international private clients in estate planning. Ana is also very active on dispute resolution, representing clients before fiscal authorities and judicial and arbitration courts in different areas of tax law.

From 2014 to 2018, Ana was a tax consultant at PwC in Luxembourg and in New York, United States. At PwC, she was a specialist in international tax planning for multinational companies, investment funds and high-net worth individuals. Additionally, she assisted financial services sector clients with monitoring and identifying international tax risks in their investment portfolios, including financial products for multiple jurisdictions.

Previously, Ana worked in Lisbon as a trainee lawyer in the tax departments of Galhardo Vilão, Torres and Uría Menendez – Proença de Carvalho, from 2013 to 2014.
