Frederico Machado Simões joined the firm in May 2017. He is a member of the criminal and compliance team.
His practice focuses on the area of criminal litigation, including regulatory offences and particularly on economics and finance, civil aviation, telecoms and cybercrime.
He also provides legal counsel on matters related to compliance, specially in the areas of anti-money laundering and regulatory affairs.
On the academic circuit, Frederico is a Guest Lecturer in the University of Lisbon’s School of Law, where he teaches Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, and is a researcher at the Center for Research in Criminal Law and Criminal Studies.
