Gonçalo Rosas

Managing Associate

Gonçalo Rosas joined the firm in 2016. He is a member of the European and competition law team.

His practice focuses on EU and Portuguese merger control procedures, antitrust investigations and abuses of dominance, and covers a broad range of business sectors, in particular in distribution and retail, media and telecommunications.

He has a particular focus on the development of legal tech solutions for antitrust litigation, especially on the application of artificial intelligence to the organization and analysis of evidence.
 
Prior to joining Morais Leitão, he worked as a trainee at the Unit C5 (information, communication and media mergers) of the Competition Directorate-General of the European Commission and as Law Clerk at the Brussels office of Latham & Watkins.
 
Education
Law Degree (Católica Porto School of Law, 2008). Master of Laws (Católica Porto School of Law, 2010). LL.M. in European Studies (College of Europe, Brugge, 2014). Short Course on Advanced EU Competition Law (London School of Economics, 2022).
