Joana Reis Barata joined the Morais Leitão in 2019. She is a member of the firm’s litigation team.
Her practice is focused in the area of criminal litigation.
On the academic circuit, she is an Assistant Teacher of Criminal Procedure at University of Lisbon School of Law. Joana is also a researcher at the Center for Research in Criminal Law and Criminal Studies (CIDPCC) and an associate of the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminal Studies (IDPCC) of the University of Lisbon School of Law.
