José Luís Pinto de Mesquita joined Morais Leitão in May 2018. He advises the firm on matters regarding Angola.

His practice is focused on advising foreign companies in Angola and Angolan companies in in corporate, employment, litigation and others.

He actively intervenes in the elaboration of legal opinions and memoranda, particularly in Angolan Constitutional Law.

Previously he worked has legal advisor at the Angolan Constitutional Court and at Carlos Freitas – Advogados as a lawyer and trainee lawyer in Angola.

Education

Law Degree (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2009), Postgraduate in Diplomatic Studies (Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, 2013). Magistrate Course - Angola (2016-2017).

Languages

Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Memberships

Portuguese Bar Association (admitted in 2014). Angolan Bar Association (admitted in 2015).
