Catarina Monteiro Pires


Catarina Monteiro Pires joined the firm in 2004. She focuses her activity on domestic and international arbitrations. She also acts as counsel in several lawsuits, representing national and international clients of different economic sectors.

Catarina was a corporate lawyer for ten years, before joining the arbitration and litigation team. During this period, she gained significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, international strategic partnerships, infrastructure agreements, distribution agreements and other commercial agreements, as well as in corporate law. She has also experience in banking and capital markets.

In 2009, she was seconded to the German law firm Hengeler Mueller.

She has also been engaged in the academic field since graduation. Since 2008, she teaches Private Law at the University of Lisbon School of Law (Law of Obligations, Contract Law, Corporate and Commercial Law), both graduation and postgraduated studies. She's was also a teacher at Coimbra Faculty of Law.

Author of several articles and monographies in the fields of Law of Obligations, Contract Law, Corporate, and Commercial. Catarina also coordinates and participates in conferences and seminars on a regular basis.
