Paula Ribeiro Farinha

Senior Lawyer

Paula Ribeiro Farinha joined the firm in 2006. She is a member of the employment, pensions and immigration team.

Paula provides consultancy in all areas of employment and social security law, concerning both individual and collective employment relationships.

Acting on behalf of domestic and foreign clients, she participates in several legal due diligence and corporate restructuring processes, advising on the acquisition and sale of companies and business areas. She acts as legal counsel for several clients on labour litigation and social security matters.

Before joining the firm, she worked at ABBC – Azevedo Neves, Benjamim Mendes, Carvalho & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados (currently DLA Piper), in labour and social security law from 1999 to 2006. Between 2004 and 2009 she teached in the postgraduate studies in the Labour Law programme at ISLA.

Paula frequently speaks at postgraduate seminars and conferences in matters relating to labour law.

She is member of ML Africa Team, in particular in regard to labour assistance to Mozambique.

Law Degree (University of Lisbon School of Law, 1999). Postgraduate Studies in Environment Law (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2000). Postgraduate Studies in Labour Law (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2001). Postgraduate Studies in Pharmaceutical Law (Coimbra Faculty of Law, 2003).
