António Pinto Leite present at the X International Arbitration Conference in Rio de Janeiro
António Pinto Leite, Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva partner and litigation and arbitration department coordinator (including civil and commercial litigation, industrial property, criminal, labour, pharmaceutical law and arbitration) is present at the “X Rio de Janeiro International Arbitration Conference” that takes place on May 6, 2014, at Rio de Janeiro’s State General-Prosecutor’s Office.
The MLGTS partner is participating in the panel dedicated to the subject “Arbitration Independence and Imparciality – recent view”, along with Luis Martines – ICDR, Andrea Carlevaris – General-Secretary of ICC International Court of Arbitration, Grant Henessian – Baker & McKensie and with the moderation of Selma Maria Ferreira Lemes – Selma Lemes Advogados and member of ICC Corte.
In addition, users’ expectations regarding arbitration, rules of evidence and the role, application and relevance of Soft Law in arbitration will be discussed.
António Pinto Leite plays an active role in some of the major international arbitration proceedings in which the firm participates, such as those organised under the International Chamber of Commerce. He acts as an arbitrator and he is a member of the Portuguese Section of the ICC – International Chamber of Commerce.
The 2014 of Chambers Europe Guide classifies António Pinto Leite as the “arbitrator most in demand” in Portugal.
