Diana Ribeiro Duarte joined the firm in 2006. She is a member of the corporate and commercial and capital markets team.
Diana practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law, particularly she provides legal assistance on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. In this context, she has engaged, on behalf of domestic and foreign clients, in the structuring of mergers and splits transactions and acquisitions and disposals of a significant number of companies and also advised Portuguese and foreign client in the establishment and execution of commercial partnerships.
She has also been involved in the structuring of several initial public offers, including the largest initial public offer ever made in Portugal and the largest in Europe during 2008.
She has been deeply involved in recent privatization processes in Portugal.
Diana regularly acts as legal advisor in the setting up of and day-to-day regulatory advice to several private equity funds.
In addition, a significant part of her work has been dedicated to projects in the energy law area, notably in joint venture transactions, as well as providing legal assistance in regulatory matters, in particular, in respect of electricity supply.
Diana Ribeiro Duarte also provides general legal advice to several companies (national and foreign), mainly in the areas of commercial and corporate law.
