Duarte Santana Lopes joined the firm in 2007.
Between 2007 and 2008, Duarte worked with the administrative and public procurement team, where he focused on administrative litigation, regulation affairs and telecommunications, as well as on public procurement law and urban planning operations licensing.
From 2008 to 2013, Duarte was a member of the litigation and arbitration team, where he worked mainly in the areas of criminal, civil and misdemeanor litigation. Duarte has gained extensive trial experience, having been involved in some of the major criminal and civil cases in Portugal. Most of these cases involved financial, corporate, commercial, compliance and regulatory issues, which have provided him with extensive know-how and experience in dealing with such matters.
In early 2013, Duarte was seconded from MLGTS and joined MdME, where has been working in the areas of criminal, civil and administrative litigation.
Duarte is also the International Representative for China of the MLGTS Legal Circle.
