World Meeting of Customs Law

António Corte-Real Neves has been invited to participate as a speaker at the World Meeting of Customs Law in Buenos Aires.

Invited by Andrés Rohde Ponce, president of the International Academy of Customs Law, António Côrte-Real Neves, senior associate of Morais Leitão, Galvão Teles, Soares da Silva  will be a speaker at the World Meeting of Customs Law this year.   The meeting will take place in Buenos Aires on August 4 and 5, 2011.

This will be the fifth world meeting organized under the aegis of the International Academy of Customs Law. Last year’s meeting took place in Belo Horizonte and the previous meeting took place in Lisbon.

The main topic of this meeting is "Modernization and Challenges of the repartition of Customs Justice" . The meeting will be composed of four panel sessions, one of which will address "Transnational delicts in external commerce", during which the lawyer will act as a speaker on "Products and technology of dual-use: embargos and sanctions".

António Côrte-Real Neves is currently working with the tax team. He assists clients in the area of taxation law, primarily in the area of customs and excise duties. He has further strengthened his area of practice as a result of work involving special consumption taxes with particular emphasis on the taxation of petrol, alcoholic beverages, and vehicles.
