Carolina Soares de Sousa

Carolina Soares de Sousa joined the firm in 2022. She is a member of the banking and finance team.

Carolina advises clients in a broad spectrum of domestic and cross-border financing transactions with a strong focus on project finance, real estate finance, acquisition finance, refinancings, and debt restructurings. 

Primarily representing lenders, Carolina guides both domestic and international clients, from financial structuring to closing, including the preparation and negotiation of financing agreements and the related security package. 

Before joining the firm, she worked at the banking and finance department of Cardigos e Associados between 2019 and 2022 and subsequently at the banking and finance department of Garrigues Portugal. 

Carolina is currently seconded to A&O Shearman’s Madrid office.
