José Maria Cortes joined the Firm in September 2020. He is a member of the litigation and arbitration team.
José Maria has previously attended internships at Galp – Legal Department, Linklaters and Campos Ferreira, Sá Carneiro & Associados.
Education
Law Degree (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2020). Postgraduate studies in Corporate Finance (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2019), Corporate Governance (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2020), Administrative Litigation (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2020) and Tax Litigation (curricular part) (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2020).
Languages
Portuguese and English.
Memberships
Portuguese Bar Association (admitted in 2022). He is a Trustee of Fundação Gaudium Magnum. He is also a Member of SalL – Defesa da Liberdade.
