António Queiroz Martins speaks at the conference “The Future of Tax Litigation”

António Queiroz Martins, coordinating associate at Morais Leitão, is a speaker at the conference “The Future of Tax Litigation”, taking place on 22 and 23 September at the Main Hall of the Ministry of Finance.

He will join the panel “Modernising the Tax Procedure: modernisation of judicial appeal mechanisms and proceedings”, which will also feature Serafim Pereira (Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority) and will be moderated by José Pedro Carvalho (Administrative and Tax Court).

Organised by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of State Reform and the Ministry of Justice, in partnership with the Portuguese Tax Association, the conference is based on the presentation of the report of the Commission for the Review of Tax Procedures and Proceedings and Taxpayer Guarantees.

Over two days, representatives from public institutions, academia and civil society will analyse and discuss the proposals in the report, creating a forum for reflection on the challenges and opportunities of the Portuguese tax justice system. The aim is to identify solutions that strengthen efficiency, transparency and proximity with both citizens and businesses.
