Carlos Botelho Moniz participates in the 9th anniversary conference of Jornal Económico

Carlos Botelho Moniz, Honorary Partner at Morais Leitão, is one of the confirmed speakers at the conference marking the 9th anniversary of Jornal Económico, which will take place on 23 September at 9:00 a.m., at AESE Business School.

The event will offer a reflection on the future of the European Union, while also marking the 40th anniversary of the signing of Portugal’s accession treaty to the EEC. The conference anticipates the official celebrations of this historic milestone, to be held on 1 January 2026, and is structured around nine key themes that help to frame the strategic challenges facing Europe today — from migration to the banking union, from the rise of populism to the institutional resilience of the Union.

Carlos Botelho Moniz will speak on the panel “Crossfire. The wonderful world of rules and regulations”, which will bring together experts to discuss the role of legislation and regulation in consolidating the European project.
