Claudia Santos Cruz, partner at Morais Leitão, will participate as a speaker at Madeira Maritime Week 2025 (MMW2025), on the panel ‘WISTA Atlantic Forum: Reducing Bureaucracy in the Shipping Industry’. The debate aims to address one of the main obstacles to the development of the European maritime sector: bureaucracy. Proposals for reforms and simplifications that will increase operational efficiency and strengthen competitiveness vis-à-vis other regions outside Europe will be analysed.
MMW2025 will take place in Funchal from 19 to 23 May 2025 and is organised by the European International Shipowners Association of Portugal (EISAP), in partnership with the Regional Government of Madeira and with the support of EUROMAR, the exclusive agent of the Madeira International Ship Registry (MAR).
Throughout the week, Madeira Maritime Week will bring together national and international experts to discuss key issues in the blue economy and the challenges shaping the future of global shipping.
