Diana Ribeiro Duarte and Rute Carvalho da Silva teach course on mergers, spin-offs and similar transactions

Partner Diana Ribeiro Duarte and coordinating associate Rute Carvalho da Silva will be the lecturers of the course “Mergers, Spin-offs and Similar Transactions”, organized by Vida Económica Business School, which will take place on September 16.

In a constantly evolving economic context and based on corporate practice in recent years, the course aims to address the growing relevance of corporate restructuring operations, particularly mergers and spin-offs. These operations may be driven by different strategic goals, such as expanding or redirecting the client base, reorganizing markets, sharing costs, or structuring corporate groups with a view to a future sale to third parties.

The course program also highlights the importance of ensuring that all market participants are familiar with the various forms of corporate restructuring and comply with the legal rules set out in the Portuguese Companies Code.
