Filipe Lowndes Marques will participate as a speaker at the 1st Banking and Finance Law Congress, an initiative organised by PLMJ in partnership with Almedina, bringing together legal professionals specialising in the financial sector, including in-house legal teams from banks, academia and lawyers, to discuss the issues that will shape the future of a sector undergoing profound transformation.
As part of the congress, Filipe Lowndes Marques will join Panel 2, where he will speak on the topic “Credit Funds in Portugal: a missed opportunity or merely postponed?”.
The congress aims to foster a broad discussion on the legal challenges arising from the increasing complexity of the financial sector, in a context marked by the growing prominence of private capital and digital entities. In an environment of intense competition and structural transformation, the legal framework is regarded as a significant dimension of operational risk, placing new demands on legal teams and market participants.
