Joana Galvão Teles, partner at Morais Leitão and member of the Board of the Commercial Arbitration Centre, will be a speaker at the OAA-CAC 2025 Arbitration Congress in Angola, taking place on 17 July at the Palace of Justice in Luanda.
Her intervention is part of the opening panel “The Arbitrator: Appointment, Duties, Status”, which will also feature Maria América dos Santos, Commissioner of the Angolan Bar Association, and José Miguel Júdice, independent arbitrator and member of the ICSID (World Bank) roster of arbitrators. The panel will be moderated by Professor Dr Benja Satula, Vice-President of the National Council of the Angolan Bar Association and Coordinator of the Constitutional Observatory.
The congress is organised by the Angolan Bar Association and the Commercial Arbitration Centre, bringing together practitioners and academics to discuss the main challenges facing arbitration in Angola and across the Portuguese-speaking world.
