Margarida Rosado da Fonseca and Luís do Nascimento Ferreira represent Portugal in "XXIII FIDE Congress"

Between the 28th of May and 31st of May the "XXIII IFEL Congress", under the high patronage of the President of the Republic Heinz Fischer, takes place in Linz, Austria. A IFEL – International Federation for European Law is the mother-organization that includes all the National Associations of European Law of the Member States of the European Union (in Portugal, the APDE). Every two years, IFEL organizes a congress to discuss issues of Community Law that are particularly pressing. Representatives of the Member States, academics and lawyers participate in this congress. The preparation of the works by IFEL is carried out well in advance and implies the elaboration of standard questionnaires on the subjects chosen by the institutional rapporteurs (professionals of recognized prestige). The compilation of the reports has already been published and made available to the public. One of the three themes debated during this year's Congress concerns the relations between Community and National Competion Law (“The Modernization of Community Competition Law: First experiences in the light of Regulation 1/2003”). The Portuguese rapporteurs were Carlos Botelho Moniz (represented by Luís do Nascimento Ferreira) and Margarida Rosado da Fonseca.
