Maria Assunção Cunha Reis and Inês F. Neves take part in a workshop on data protection and artificial intelligence in clinical research

Maria da Assunção da Cunha Reis and Inês F. Neves will participate in the workshop “Personal Data Protection and Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Research”, taking place this Friday, 23 May, at the ICBAS – Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar, in Porto.

The initiative is jointly organised by the Health Research Working Group of the Portuguese Association of Hospital Administrators (APAH) and the Agency for Clinical Research and Biomedical Innovation (AICIB), and is aimed at researchers and hospital administrators.

Maria da Assunção da Cunha Reis will speak on the panel “Personal data protection in research: Challenges and opportunities”.

Inês F. Neves will join the roundtable “Personal Data Protection and Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Research”, contributing with a reflection on the uses, risks and opportunities of artificial intelligence in this field, focusing on the regulatory, ethical and operational impacts of applying emerging technologies in healthcare.
