Mariana Soares David speaks at the Global Class Actions Symposium 2025 in London

Mariana Soares David, partner at Morais Leitão, is speaking at the Global Class Actions Symposium 2025, taking place on 18 and 19 November in London. She joins the panel “Certification,” dedicated to one of the most decisive stages in the class action process.

The panel will explore the different approaches to the certification stage across jurisdictions, comparing the criteria applied, the benefits and risks associated with this phase — often decisive for the progress of class actions and frequently described as a mini-trial. The session will be chaired by Elisa Mariscal (Principal, Cornerstone Research) and will also feature Hal Singer (Managing Director, Econ One) and Jonathon Egerton-Peters (Partner, Proskauer).

Recognised as the world’s leading conference on class actions, the Global Class Actions Symposium 2025, organised by the Global Legal Group, returns to London bringing together the foremost international experts in collective redress. Key topics include legislative developments, litigation funding, access to justice, and the emerging challenges shaping the future of class actions worldwide.
