Martim Krupenski, Managing Partner of Morais Leitão, has been ranked number one in the Iberian Lawyer list of the Top 20 Lawyers in Portugal for 2025. This distinction recognises the professionals who stand out most in the Portuguese legal landscape for their strategic vision, leadership, and contribution to the transformation of the sector.
The publication highlights that Morais Leitão “not only remains consistently at the top of the transactional market, but has also emerged as a space for innovation, embracing technology, processes, and employee wellbeing, without losing its traditional roots.”
Since taking over the leadership of the firm in June 2024, Martim Krupenski has led an ambitious strategic transformation programme. Notable milestones include the appointment of Carlos Eduardo Coelho as a non-lawyer partner — making Morais Leitão one of the first multidisciplinary law firms in Portugal — and the implementation of a new, innovation-driven, tech-based business model.
In addition to his strategic and transactional work, Martim Krupenski is also recognised for his strong commitment to mental health and wellbeing within the legal profession. As co-founder of the Direito Mental association, he has been an active advocate for the promotion of healthy practices in law firms. Morais Leitão was the first law firm in Portugal to be certified as a family-responsible company and currently manages around 70 internal initiatives dedicated to employee wellbeing.
