The conference “CSRD, CSDDD & EUDR: what companies need to know now” will take place on 9 April, from 9:00 to 13:00, at Morais Leitão’s offices in Lisbon.
Morais Leitão, in partnership with BCSD Portugal, is organising this initiative dedicated to recent changes in the European regulatory framework on corporate sustainability. The conference aims to clarify the impact of the changes introduced under the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), the CSDDD (Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive) and the Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
The regulatory landscape underwent a significant transformation in 2026, with the publication of the directive implementing the Omnibus I package. This new framework has simplified the obligations associated with the CSRD and the CSDDD, notably through:
- A reduction in the scope of application of the directives
- The postponement of the start of reporting deadlines
- A reduction in the obligations applicable to SMEs
In parallel, the Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) was revised at the end of 2025, with the aim of simplifying its application and ensuring that operators, traders and authorities are adequately prepared for its implementation.
In a context where sustainability, supply chain transparency and the fight against deforestation remain at the core of the European Union’s strategic priorities, the conference will provide a practical analysis of the implications of these changes for companies. The programme includes insights from specialists and professionals on the challenges and opportunities arising from this new framework.
The event is open and free of charge, subject to registration.
