Morais Leitão will be a stage partner at the Portugal Digital Summit 2025, taking place on 22 and 23 October at the Lisbon Congress Centre. The event, organised by GoingNext and ACEPI – Digital Economy Association, is one of the country’s largest gatherings dedicated to digital transformation, bringing together leaders from various fields to reflect on the impact of technology on society and the economy.
Panel on Digital Violence – 22 October
On the first day, Adriana Brás, principal associate at Morais Leitão, will take part in the panel “Digital Violence — When the Virtual Space Becomes Real”, alongside David Dinis (Deputy Director, Expresso), Carolina Soares (Manager of the Internet Safety Helpline and Cybercrime Unit at APAV), Alves da Cunha (Criminal Investigation Coordinator, National Counterterrorism Unit, Polícia Judiciária), and Inês Marinho (President and Founder of the #NãoPartilhes Association).
The debate will focus on phenomena such as the non-consensual sharing of intimate images, digital stalking, online scams and fraud (often of a romantic nature), and online hate speech used as a tool for radicalisation and manipulation of vulnerable individuals.
Adriana Brás will bring the legal perspective, highlighting the importance of the law in protecting victims and addressing these forms of digital crime.
Future of Energy & Sustainability Stage Powered by Morais Leitão – 23 October
On the second day of the Portugal Digital Summit, Morais Leitão will lead the Future of Energy & Sustainability Stage, reaffirming its active role in discussions on sustainability and energy innovation.

- The role of artificial intelligence as a driver of energy efficiency will be explored by Rui de Oliveira Neves, partner at Morais Leitão, in conversation with José Costa Pereira (Veolia). The discussion will address how data and AI are being used to forecast, optimise and automate energy consumption in buildings, cities and industries.
