Morais Leitão stood out at the inaugural edition of the Legal500 Iberia Awards, winning five awards that reinforce its prominent position in the legal sector in the Iberian Peninsula. The awards ceremony took place on 27 November in Madrid, bringing together the most prestigious law firms in the region.
Morais Leitão was recognised in two categories:
- White-Collar Crime Firm of the Year
- Deal of the Year, for advising Cinven on the acquisition of 70% of Idealista, a transaction worth €2.9 billion, which reinforces Morais Leitão’s experience in complex and large-scale transactions in the Iberian market.
Morais Leitão’s individual talent and legal leadership were also recognised with three distinctions:
- Filipe Lowndes Marques – Banking and Finance Lawyer of the Year
- Luís Roquette Geraldes – Corporate and M&A Next Generation Partner of the Year
- Inês Gouveia – Leading Associate of the Year
These awards highlight Morais Leitão’s consistency in providing excellent legal services and reinforce its position as one of the leading law firms in the Iberian Peninsula. The recognition is the result of an independent assessment by The Legal 500 directory, which combines feedback from clients and peers with a rigorous analysis of legal activity in the region.
