Rui de Oliveira Neves, partner at Morais Leitão, will take part in the Energy 2025 conference, to be held on 17 September at the Centro Cultural de Belém in Lisbon. Organized by ECO, this event returns in 2025 as a strategic forum for debate on the key challenges of the energy sector, at a time when the energy transition, infrastructure resilience and sustainability are becoming increasingly relevant.
As part of the programme, Rui de Oliveira Neves will join the panel “Decarbonising with Businesses – Goals, Metrics and Obligations”, moderated by Tiago Freire, Deputy Director of ECO. The discussion will address a central question: what are Brussels’ requirements and how can Portuguese businesses respond?
The panel will also feature Ana Casaca, Director of Innovation at Galp Energia, Filipa Pantaleão, Secretary-General of BCSD, and Nuno Martins, Head of Industry Business Unit at Quadrante.
The Energy 2025 conference will also analyse the state of the energy sector in the Iberian Peninsula, exploring topics such as the lessons from the recent blackout, failures in interconnections, and the strengthening of risk management and strategic reserves. Other highlights will include electricity resilience, the challenges of energy for industry, and the growing demands of business decarbonisation.
