Mafalda Santos Cordeiro joined the Firm in May 2025. She is a member of the banking and finance team.
Mafalda develops her practice in the field of financial supervision and regulatory matters, including authorisation proceedings for regulated entities before supervisory authorities. Mafalda advices virtual asset service providers, payment service providers, payment institutions and electronic money issuers, as well as crowdfunding platforms, financial undertakings and banking institutions. Furthermore, Mafalda she has also experience on regulatory matters relating to sustainability and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) frameworks, in accordance with leading law firm standards.
Before joining the firm, she worked at the Financial Law department at Abreu Advogados between 2022 and 2025.

Law Degree (University of Lisbon School of Law, 2020). Advanced Postgraduate Course in Banking Law (Research Centre for Private Law, 2022). Master's Degree in Law and Business (Católica Lisbon School of Law, 2024). Attending Postgraduate studies in Fintech (Research Centre for Private Law).
