Gonçalo Fleming joined the firm in 2006 and became a non-equity partner in 2018. He is a member of the Corporate and M&A team.
He also collaborates with the Africa Team - an internal structure that guarantees, on a permanent basis, and in close cooperation with the member firms of the Morais Leitão Legal Circle, personalised day-to-day assistance to clients on matters that involve or are related to the jurisdictions of the Portuguese-speaking countries in Africa – in which he regularly assists clients in the areas of private investment, commercial contracts and insurance.
Gonçalo has represented several national clients in both M&A and real estate transactions. He also provides advice and regular assistance on different aspects of the ongoing commercial activities of our clients.
From 2002 to 2005 he practised law at Osório de Castro, Verde Pinho, Vieira Peres, Lobo Xavier e Associados – Sociedade de Advogados. In 2004 he worked for the Municipality of Oporto as deputy of the City Councillor in the areas of Education, Human Resources, Sports and Youth.
