Claudia Santos Cruz, Morais Leitão partner and consultant to the firm’s Legal Circle network in Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde, has been appointed African Regional Forum Liaison Officer of the International Bar Association’s Oil and Gas Law Committee
Claudia is also Vice-Chair of the IBA’s African Regional Forum, and this new appointment continues to build on her work and consolidates the IBA’s presence in African regional markets and focus on the importance of the mineral resources sector.
The IBA is recognised globally as the leading organisation for international legal practitioners. Established in 1947, shortly after the creation of the United Nations, with the aim of protecting and advancing the rule of law globally.
Claudia will join her fellow officers at the IBA leadership Mid-Year Meetings in Prague between 20 - 23 May 2026.
