David Silva Ramalho moderates debate on justice innovation at NOVA FCT Bridge Talks

David Silva Ramalho, Managing Associate and member of the Criminal, Regulatory Offences and Compliance practice at Morais Leitão, takes part today in the Bridge Talks — Technology, AI and Law, an event organised by NOVA FCT Executive Education taking place at the Palácio Nacional de Queluz.

He moderates the panel discussion "Justice in Evolution and Innovation with Impact", a session dedicated to exploring national and international examples where innovation — technological, organisational and human — has driven real transformation in the justice sector. The conversation brings together leading voices from the judiciary and the legal profession, including Cláudia Pina, Investigating Judge, José Luís Lopes da Mota, Counsellor Judge at the Supreme Court of Justice, Marisa Monteiro Borsboom, lawyer and Vice-President of ELTA, Paulo Correia, Managing Partner at Santiago Mediano Advogados, and Vasco Silveira, Director of Digital Transformation at Abreu Advogados.

The debate focuses on how creative practices and new forms of collaboration can strengthen efficiency, accessibility and access to justice, without compromising its fundamental principles.

The Bridge Talks also feature members of the Government — including the Minister of Justice Rita Alarcão Júdice and the Minister of State and Administrative Reform Gonçalo Matias — alongside other leading figures from law, technology and research, in a programme centred on the ethical and regulatory challenges that artificial intelligence poses to the legal system.
