Francisco Mendes da Silva takes part in the PSP seminar “New Challenges in Urban Security”

As part of the celebrations marking the 158th anniversary of the Lisbon Metropolitan Command of the PSP, Francisco Mendes da Silva took part as a speaker at the seminar “New Challenges in Urban Security”, held on 26 and 27 November 2025 at the Lisbon Metropolitan Command’s auditorium, located on Avenida de Moscavide.

The lawyer participated in Panel 3, dedicated to the theme “Urban Crime and Criminal Investigation”, which took place on 27 November. The panel also featured contributions from Maria de Lurdes Lopes, Director of the Public Prosecution Service (DIAP) of the Central Lisbon District, Carlos Resende da Silva, Commander of the Setúbal District Command, and Rui Costa, Head of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Lisbon Metropolitan Command. The session was moderated by television presenter Marcos Pinto.

The discussion focused on the current challenges posed by urban crime and the demands placed on criminal investigation in a metropolitan context, bringing together representatives of the judiciary, law enforcement, and the legal profession.
