João Matos Viana and Nuno Igreja Matos at International Conference on Internal Investigations and Sanctioning Proceedings

Lawyers João Matos Viana and Nuno Igreja Matos will be speakers at the International Conference – Compliance, Internal Investigations, and Sanctioning Proceedings against Companies, taking place on 14 and 15 May at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
João Matos Viana, who is part of the event's Scientific Coordination, will chair a session on 15 May on the topic "The purposes of penalties applicable to natural and legal persons: a unitary or a differentiated model? The problematic case of the 'reintegration of the offender into society'".

Nuno Igreja Matos is also scheduled to speak on 15 May, with a presentation entitled "Internal Investigation Duties Across Sectors: Toward a Unified Framework?"

Among the invited international speakers are Carsten Momsen (Freie Universität Berlin), Alfonso Galán Muñoz (Universidad Pablo de Olavide – Seville), Manuel Gómez Tomillo (Universidad de Valladolid), and Marco Edgardo Florio (Sapienza Università di Roma).
