Leonor Martins Machado participates in seminar on pass-on and Visa and Mastercard interchange fees

Leonor Martins Machado will participate, on 9 September, in the seminar “First UK CAT decision on pass-on: Visa and Mastercard interchange fees”, organised by Compass Lexecon at EPIC SANA Marquês, in Lisbon.

The session will focus on the first decision of the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) to examine in detail the issue of pass-on in the context of Visa and Mastercard interchange fees, a topic expected to be particularly relevant in future private enforcement cases.

The event will feature a presentation by Stefano Trento, one of the economic experts who gave evidence before the CAT in this case, followed by a discussion with participants.

This will be the first in a series of seminars organised by Compass Lexecon in Lisbon on competition, private enforcement and arbitration, aimed at bringing the legal and economic communities together to discuss some of the most relevant cases in these areas.

The session will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and will include a welcome breakfast, presentation and discussion, followed by coffee and networking.
