Márcia Tomás Pires, trainee lawyer at Morais Leitão, is one of the guest speakers at the 5th Intensive Course on Cryptoassets: Legal Aspects, Market Regulation, Taxation and Accounting, organised by the Institute for Economic and Financial Law (IDEFF). The session, scheduled for 23 October from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., will focus on the legal and regulatory aspects of cryptoassets, with particular emphasis on the MiCA Regulation (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation).
The course aims to provide professionals and companies with a solid understanding of the operation and legal, tax, accounting and regulatory framework of cryptoassets. The session will cover topics such as the scope and objectives of MiCA, the classification of different types of cryptoassets, the rules applicable to issuers and offerors, stablecoins, the regime for Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs), and issues related to supervision and implementation of the regulation in Portugal.
