Morais Leitão advised Macquarie Asset Management, in collaboration with Clifford Chance (Madrid), on the €310 million acquisition of a 40% stake in Luz Saúde.
Luz Saúde is one of Portugal's largest private healthcare groups, operating a network of hospitals, clinics, and specialised care centres, including a retirement community.
The Morais Leitão team was led by partners Diana Ribeiro Duarte and Ricardo Andrade Amaro and included managing associates Rute Carvalho da Silva and Helder M. Mourato.
Subject to the non-opposition of the Competition Authority, the transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
