Morais Leitão advised Asterion Industrial Partners, in collaboration with Clifford Chance (Madrid), on the acquisition of the Covilhã Data Centre from Altice Portugal, for 120 million euros.
The Covilhã Data Centre is a data centre with 6.8 MW of installed capacity and with the architectural potential, available land and secured electricity supply to accommodate an expansion of up to 175 MW.
As part of the transaction, Altice Portugal will remain the Data Centre's anchor tenant under a long-term Master Service Agreement.
Morais Leitão team was led by partner Diana Ribeiro Duarte, with the participation of managing associate Rute Carvalho da Silva and principal associate Catarina Almeida Andrade.
The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026 and is subject to standard regulatory approvals.
